Clients have reportedly been complaining concerning the challenge on BT's online help boards since October 2023.
Most impacted clients found the error whereas scanning their payments.
However others say they acquired a affirmation e mail from BT Customer Help, thanking them for activating their subscriptions.
All affected clients say they by no means activated such a subscription – with many not even having an Xbox of their possession.
"I logged into my BT account online and noticed that they charged me an extra £10 and that money had come out of my account," one impacted clients named Sue, advised the BBC.
"Xbox Recreation Move had been added to my accounts without my consent – I assumed that's so odd, because I don't even have an Xbox.
"I truly thought I'd been hacked, so I phoned them up… they usually explained that it was a BT error."
Refund
Those who have complained to BT have had their cash refunded, but they are saying the expertise is regarding.
