Matrix star breaks silence on being axed from fourth film
Laurence Fishburne revealed that he was more than willing to appear in the fourth installment of the Matrix franchise. He was asked if he'd ever consider returning to franchise as his character Morpheus from the original trilogy, after his absence from 2021's The Matrix Resurrections. 'It depends on the circumstances — who is involved, how well the script has been written, if they offer me,' Fishburne, 63, said, with some doubt that would happen.
