Milly Alcock's Supergirl is ready for her own big screen adventure.

Superman director and co-head of DC Studios James Gunn shared as much on Wednesday, July 16 when he posted a photo on Twitter/X of the heroine sipping a blue slushy to promote the upcoming Supergirl film.

Playing off marketing for Superman, which encouraged audiences to "Look Up," Gunn, 58, captioned the photo "Look Out. 2026."

Supergirl, the second feature in the newly rebooted DC Universe, will be directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) and debuts June 26, 2026.

House of the Dragon's Alcock, 25, will star as Kara Zor-El, cousin of Kal-El/Clark Kent (David Corenswet), after making a brief cameo at the end of Superman.

Gunn explained in a recent interview with ScreenRant that, putting it simply, "she's a total mess."

"I mean, I think as we learn, she's had a completely different background from Superman. A much more difficult background," Gunn said. "He's had this wonderful upbringing by these two parents that loved him and were very healthy. And her background was much different than that. And she's ended up different than her cousin."

When Alcock was first announced to play Supergirl last January, Gunn explained why the rising actress was fit for the role.

"Milly is a fantastically talented young actor, and I'm incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU," Gunn shared on Instagram. "Yes, I first became aware of her in House of the Dragon but I was blown away by her varied auditions and screen tests for #Supergirl."

"She embodies Kara," Gunn added.
