The Bay Area of California was shaken by a magnitude 4.3 earthquake overnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck just before 3 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, and set off phone alerts, the geological survey said. The epicenter was located less than two miles east of Berkeley, and the earthquake was felt in Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
No tsunami is expected, according to the U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center.
