About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Two-time UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski puts his title on the line as he faces off against undefeated Movsar Evloev in the main event at UFC 333 , set to take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
In addition to the headline bout, the card features a blockbuster trilogy fight in the bantamweight division, as reigning champion Petr Yan faces former champion Merab Dvalishvili . This bout will settle the score between two of the best bantamweights on the planet.
Volkanovski (28-4), who recently starred as Joe in the new "Street Fighter" film, is aiming for his ninth featherweight title victory. He enters UFC 333 riding the momentum of back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Diego Lopes, with the most recent triumph taking place in front of a home crowd in Australia this past January. These victories set a new milestone: Volkanovski became the first fighter over the age of 35 to capture a UFC championship belt in a weight class under 170 pounds.
His opponent, Evloev, is coming off a majority decision victory over Lerone Murphy in March, which preserved his perfect 20-0 record.
In the co-main event, Dvalishvili aims to reclaim his bantamweight title from Yan, following a defeat at the end of 2025. Dvalishvili later revealed that he entered that fight nursing a knee injury and hampered by a problematic training camp, factors he believes contributed to his defeat.
This trilogy bout marks the third meeting between the rivals: Dvalishvili took the first contest in March 2023, while Yan evened the score in their second bout.
