More than two years after their thrilling first meeting at Wembley Stadium, the UK rivals collide again as Buatsi looks to repeat his 2024 victory and Hutchinson seeks revenge.
Buatsi (20-1, 13 KOs) enters Saturday's contest looking to capture his first full world championship following David Benavidez's move to cruiserweight and vacating of the WBC title. The 2016 Olympic bronze medalist defeated Hutchinson by split decision in September 2024 to claim the interim WBO light heavyweight title, scoring two knockdowns in the contest. Buatsi subsequently suffered his first pro defeat against Callum Smith in February 2025, but rebounded with a majority decision over Zach Parker last November.
Hutchinson (20-2, 14 KOs), a 28-year-old native of Scotland, has likewise spent the past two years rebuilding momentum since his first meeting with Buatsi, winning consecutive fights against Mark Jeffers and, most recently, Ezra Taylor this past March.
