Briar University will be missing a familiar face whenOff Campusreturns for season 2.

The Prime Video hockey romance series — which is based onElle Kennedy'sbest-selling book series— became an instant hit when it premiered on May 13. The good news: the show had already received an early renewal for another season.

While much of the cast has expressed excitement about returning, one major cast member —Josh Heuston— has already announced that they won't be reprising their role. In season 1, Heuston played singer Justin Kohl, who is main character Hannah Wells' (Ella Bright) initial crush before she ends up with her true love, Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli).

"Love you all dearly 🥲 thank you, thank you, thank you," he wrote onInstagramone day after the show premiered. "That is all."

Heuston added in a comment, "Over and out Briar U 🫶🏼."

Shortly after season 1 premiered, showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed Heuston's exit in a May 2026 interview withTV Guideand said that they "don't have him [available] next season."

"Not next season, but I love Josh and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point," she wrote, noting that his own romance story line from the book series has yet to make it into the show.

"We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book," Levy said. "So maybe we'll find a way to fold him into a future season."

What has Josh Heuston said about hisOff Campusexit?

Heuston spoke about his exit in a May 2026 interview withVariety Australiaand said "we'll see" whether he will ever return.

"Everything from scheduling to storylines to books … there's a lot of stories to show in this particular series," he said.

The plot for season 2 has yet to be announced, but Bright toldVarietyin May 2026 that she loves "reading the theories online about who Season 2 is going to be [about]."

Levy added, "All eight scripts are written and we have a very exciting plan for the season. I don't want to say anything yet — but I think book fans will be very excited."

Kennedy's remaining books in the series follow John Logan (Antonio Cipriano), John Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks) and Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn).

What is Josh Heuston doing next?

Although Heuston won't be returning forOff Campusseason 2, fans can still see the actor in other upcoming projects.

Charles Spencerand his new wife, Professor Cat Jarman, have been sharing a new pastime despite her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.

Jarman has taken up horseback riding and was seen riding off into newlywed life on a pony trek through the rugged landscape of the Arizona desert on her honeymoon.

Charles, the 9th Earl Spencer, introduced his archaeologist wife to horse riding at home in the U.K. in the countryside around his estate, Althorp, where he grew up with his sister, the latePrincess Diana. Jarman had not tried riding horses before she met Charles, 61.

She has also added another string to her bow. Jarman surprised herself in taking up archery on horseback, something friends say she never thought she could contemplate in the light of her MS diagnosis.

The Viking expert discovered she had MS in 2016 while finishing her PhD. Several months ago, revealing a picture of herself shotting arrows from a horseback, she wrote, "I’d give anything to be able to go back to that 2016 version of me, terrified that it was the end of my life as I knew it, to tell her this is where I’d be in 2025: I thought I’d never be able to use my right arm again, and believed, like I was told, that I’d have less than a decade before my body would fail me."

"To actually hit a few targets in a trot this week, nine months after my first ever riding lesson, feels like a massive F*** Y** to MS!" she wrote on Instagram in November 2025.

PEOPLE confirmed on May 19 that Spencer and Jarman wed in a private ceremonyin Arizona on May 15, saying in a statement: “We both feel so incredibly lucky to have progressed from being colleagues, to friendship, to deep love and connection. Each stage of our relationship has been underpinned by laughter, and we share a passion for life.”

Jarman and Spencer connected after he was asked to review her 2021 nonfiction bestsellerRiver Kings, and they continued to work together, collaborating on archaeological digs and launching the podcastThe Rabbit Hole Detectiveswith Rev. Richard Coles.

They announced they had traveled to Arizona to marry, releasing new images of their nuptials. The pictures showed the couple holding hands and posing close across five slides, with Sedona’s iconic Cathedral Rock serving as the backdrop. Jarman wore a pale blue sleeveless gown, while Spencer had a dark suit and an open-collared blue shirt.

Reflecting on his happy day, when he wed Jarman on May 15, Spencer said, "A very close friend said to me, months ago: 'The thing about Cat is, she’d want to be with you if you lived in a hut.' Little did I know she’d also be happy to marry me in a desert 🌵," he wrote.

Soon afterwards, they showed a video clip of them on horseback, riding off to their new life together.

The couple's intimate wedding took place nearly two years after he announced that he wasdivorcing his fourth wife, Canadian philanthropist Countess Karen Spencer,in June 2024. The former couple share 13-year-old daughter Charlotte Diana, the youngest of his seven children from his first two marriages.

Their split was finalized in December 2025 afterJarman filed a lawsuit against the Countess. The archaeologist alleged misuse of private information and claimed that Karen disclosed her MS diagnosisin a lawsuit. The case was settled in late 2025.

MADRID, May 27 (Reuters) - Police were seeking documents at the headquarters of Spain's ruling Socialist Party (PSOE) on Wednesday ‌as part of an investigation into an alleged plot to destabilise judicial ‌proceedings against the party or the government, the High Court said.

The alleged offences include belonging to ​a criminal organisation, bribery, disclosure of secrets, inducement to give false testimony, false accusation, falsification of commercial documents, misconduct in public office, influence peddling and offences against state institutions.

At a news conference in Rome after meeting Pope Leo, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro ‌Sanchez stressed that Wednesday's request ⁠for documents did not constitute a police search, adding that the party was fully cooperating with the courts and had absolute ⁠respect for the judiciary.

Investigating judge Santiago Pedraz ordered the request of various documents and electronic files from the party's headquarters, the court said.

A judicial request for information requires ​prior notice ​and targets specific items, as distinct from ​an "entry and search" carried out ‌without prior notice to gather all kinds of evidence.

Pedraz's investigation centres on former PSOE organisation secretary Santos Cerdan, along with other party officials, lawyers, a businessman and a police officer. It is the first time Cerdan has been named in this case. He has denied wrongdoing in another investigation.

The party led by Sanchez has been ‌dogged by a slew of corruption scandals, including ​various investigations into Sanchez's key allies and family ​members.

Sanchez said if new irregular ​behaviour emerged, his party would deal with it with the ‌same firmness as before.

Last week, the High ​Court said it ​was investigating Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero - a former Socialist premier and close Sanchez ally - on suspicion of leading an influence-peddling and money-laundering network, dealing another ​blow to the leftist ‌coalition government.

Zapatero denied any wrongdoing, and Sanchez on Wednesday reiterated his support ​for his predecessor.

Charles Barkley didn’t even wait for the final buzzer to tear into the Cavaliers during their season-ending loss, which punched the Knicks’ ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

“How do you give up 23 fastbreak points in a half?” Barkley asked. “Players aren’t going to say they quit, but you know what shows? Their actions.

“Lisa [Salters] and Malika [Andrews] were talking about [Cavs players] saying they believe. Well, I believed they were going to get their ass whooped and that’s what’s going to happen.”

The “Inside the NBA” crew didn’t stop there either.

After the loss, Kenny Smith said that he believed the Cavaliers “took a step backwards because it showed what you’re vulnerable to, to everyone else in the Eastern Conference.”

Smith added that the Cavaliers needed to change their offensive identity for Cleveland to take that step.

The comment was in response to comments from Cavaliers coach Kenny Atkinson, who has taken plenty of criticism this series for not using timeouts in Game 1 as the Knicks mounted a historic comeback, and comments about how the Cavaliers were winning games in an analytical sense.

4 people killed as train slams into school minibus in Belgium

Brussels — A train slammed into a school minibus in Belgium on Tuesday, killing at least four people including two children, according to authorities.

"A tragic collision between a train and a school bus took place in Buggenhout this morning. Four people have been killed, including two children," Belgium's Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Prevot wrote on X.

Prime Minister Bart De Wever posted that he was "deeply moved by the horrific accident ... My thoughts go out to the affected families."

"With great dismay, I learnt of the tragic accident in Buggenhout, where a school bus was struck by a train. My thoughts go out to the victims and their loved ones. I wish the injured much strength," Interior Minister Bernard Quintin wrote earlier on X.

Images from the scene in Belgium's central Flanders region showed a badly damaged minibus lying on its side on a road next to a railway line, with tents set up by emergency workers around. The commuter train remained halted on the tracks.

Police spokeswoman An Berger told Belgian media that seven children, a supervisor and a driver were on the minibus, adding that no one on the train was hurt.

In a statement, the police said the minibus was transporting students from a secondary education school for children with special needs. The police identified those killed as the 49-year-old driver of the minibus, a 27-year-old assistant and two children, adding that five other children were seriously injured but hospitalized in stable condition.

"The impact was extremely violent," Frederic Sacre, a spokesman for Belgium's Infrabel rail agency, told AFP, adding that the train had been traveling at 75 miles per hour.

"The minibus was thrown about 15 meters (50 feet) into a metal pylon," he said.

Sacre said video from the scene showed that road barriers at the railway crossing had been closed and a red light was showing at the time of the incident.

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen joined in the stream of commiserations from politicians, saying she was "heartbroken" by the collision.

"My deepest condolences go out to the victims' families and their loved ones," she posted online. "Today, Europe grieves with Belgium."
