Gerard Pique believes Arsenal supervisor Mikel Arteta is an 'obvious' candidate to switch Xavi at Barcelona.
The Spanish champions are at present looking for a successor for Xavi, who announced in January that he is stepping down as head coach at the end of the season.
Pique, who played alongside Xavi for seven seasons at Barca, feels his former teammate might reverse his choice to give up this summer time.
But when Xavi doesn't change his mind, Pique says Arteta and Pep Guardiola characterize two clear-cut decisions for Barcelona's hierarchy.
'I don't assume it's a choice that's 100 per cent,' Pique stated in an interview with The Sunday Times.
'Let's see how the season ends. I feel perhaps he'll stay.
'To manage Barca it is advisable to be a selected sort of coach and to know the best way Barca play, so the options are much much less.
'The apparent ones are Guardiola, as a result of he had his previous right here, and he is one of the best coach right now, and Arteta.
'He can be a superb one also. He understands Barcelona and played for Barca prior to now.'

When requested if Guardiola would manage Barcelona for a second time, Pique stated: 'You would need to ask him.
'I nonetheless converse to him typically. I am positive he and Barcelona individuals would love to see him again.'
