London's King's Cross station has reopened after a 15-minute closure that left panicked commuters evacuating as an emergency warning played overhead.

Transport for London introduced the 15 minute closure right now after photographs and movies of commuters 'evacuating' the station have been shared on social media.

One consumer posted on X: 'We would have liked to go away King's Cross St Pancras station, I don't know why.'

An announcement was heard over speakers contained in the station saying: 'On account of a reported emergency, would all passengers depart the station instantly please.'

The station seems to have re-opened roughly 15 minutes after it shut, and is working normally once more.

Another tube station has closed in the present day as TfL responds to a 'hearth alert'. Tufnell Park station will remain closed until authorities assess the state of affairs.
