The world's largest snake which measured greater than 26 ft lengthy and weighed more than 440 kilos has been shot lifeless by hunters.
The Northern Inexperienced Anaconda dubbed Ana Julia was discovered 5 weeks ago in the Amazon Rainforest in remote Brazil.
She was as thick as a automotive tyre with a human-sized head – and first gained fame after TV wildlife presenter and Dutch biologist Professor Freek Vonk, 40, was filmed swimming next to her.
After listening to the information of Ana Julia's demise, Professor Vonk stated he was 'unhappy and indignant', referring to the hunters who killed her as 'sick'.
Ana Julia was found lifeless in the Formoso River in the rural space of Bonito, southern Brazil, on March 24.
Based on wildlife filmmaker Cristian Dimitris, the lifeless snake is identical as the one filmed swimming with Vonk.
He stated: 'I compared the markings on her face, which are like fingerprints. It have to be probably the most famous anaconda on the planet, completely emblematic of the region.
'Pictures of the snake have already travelled the world.'
The snake's id was also confirmed by an anaconda specialist and researcher on the College of São Paulo, Juliana Terra, who referred to as Ana Julia a 'image for the Bonito area'.
After being informed of Ana Julia's dying, Professor Vonk stated: 'With a number of pain in my heart, I want to let you understand that the mighty massive anaconda I swam with was discovered lifeless in the river.
'I've heard from numerous sources that she was shot lifeless, though there's nonetheless no official affirmation on the cause of dying.
'I'm so sad and so indignant at the similar time. How sick do it's a must to be to do that to such a lovely and unique animal?
'So far as we know, she was super wholesome and still within the prime of her life, so she might have produced many offspring within the years to return.
'As there aren't many of these colossal big snakes swimming round, the blow to biodiversity is gigantic. She was the most important snake I had ever seen with my very own eyes. I swam next to her for a minimum of an hour.

Professor Vonk stated he hopes for extra 'clarity' as a large-scale police investigation is underway.
The tutorial was one among 15 scientists concerned in the discovery of the Northern Green Anaconda – before then, just one species of Green Anaconda was recognised within the Amazon.
The Northern Green Anaconda's discovery was revealed in a research within the scientific journal Variety on February 16.
Professor Jesus Rivas, the lead writer of the research, explained that they first realised there was multiple species of inexperienced anaconda over 15 years ago.
Alongside together with his spouse Dr Sarah Corey-Rivas, they began to analyse samples to look for genetic differences.
Professor Rivas advised& What'sTheJam: 'I've been learning anacondas for 32 years so this begs the query of how many different species there are that we have no idea about.
'This finding humbles the thoughts relating to the true variety of South America.'
An investigation into Ana Julia's demise is being carried out by the Environmental Army Police.
