Thursday morning commute for some 540 passengers of a southbound MRT-3 practice turned harder after they have been unloaded on the line's Cubao station after the practice conked out with an electrical motor failure.
In line with the MRT-3 management, the passengers have been unloaded from the practice on the Cubao station at 6:24 a.m. The passengers have been then allowed to board on the subsequent practice that arrived some five minutes later.
The line's management stated worn-out electrical sub-components of the motor corresponding to the primary chopper, regulator, and insulator brought on the failure.

The management nevertheless assured that a preventive upkeep verify shall be finished and the faulty electrical elements can be replaced.
As of 8 a.m., 14 trains have been operational on the road with headway or the ready time between two trains estimated at 7.5 minutes, the MRT-Three administration reported. /muf
