A standout student hockey player died last week after being struck by a train in his hometown. Elliott Kropf, 16, is being remembered by his family as loving and passionate, a week after the tragedy in New Canaan, Connecticut. He died after being struck by a Metro-North train at the Talmadge Hill station around 11:10pm Saturday, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department confirmed in a statement. The collision did not appear to have any criminal aspect, cops said - adding how the high schooler was pronounced dead at the scene.
