Qatar has decided to suspend its key mediation efforts between Hamas and Israel as it threatens to expel Hamas from the country. Officials in Doha say they have halted their role as arbitrators 'as long as there is a refusal to negotiate in good faith' between both parties - amid reports Hamas' office in the country is being shut down. It is unclear whether the remaining Hamas leadership in Qatar has been ordered to leave or where they would go, although Iran, Turkey and Lebanon would be likely options.
