Billie Lourd revealed that she and her former Scream Queens costar Emma Roberts once had an accidental matching moment at a birthday party she threw

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Lourd explained that she went dressed as Tinkerbell, and Roberts as Peter Pan

Lourd joked that the matching moment occurred because they're still in "lock step" from starring in Scream Queens together

Billie Lourd and Emma Roberts had plenty of coordinating outfit moments in Scream Queens 10 years ago, and the actresses are still in sync when it comes to their wardrobe choices!

Lourd, 33, reveals in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE that she and Roberts once accidentally matched at her birthday party with Disney-themed costumes that complemented each other, much to their surprise.

"I had this crazy birthday party that I invited [her Adulthood co-star] Anthony [Carrigan] to, but he's so booked and busy, he couldn't come. He's got to come next year," she says. "The theme's going to be even weirder. But Emma was there, and I was Tinkerbell, and Emma showed up as Peter Pan."

Of her Scream Queens costar, Lourd notes that they're "still in lock step," referring to Lourd's character, Chanel #3, trailing behind Robert's character, Chanel Oberlin, in multiple scenes in the show.

The accidental coordinating costume moment, Lourd explains while opening up about her new film Adulthood, was something that she and Roberts "didn't even discuss."

"She just knew to be Peter Pan, that I was going to be Tinkerbell. And I just love her," she adds. "She has a son, and I have two kids no,w and we get them together. And it's just so crazy that that show was 10 years ago. I feel old."

Screen Queens ran for two seasons from September 2015 to December 2016 — though the famous friends still hang out together. Roberts and Lourd have rarely been spotted out together in public in the time since.

The pair's last fashionable outing was in 2022 for Louis Vuitton's 2023 Cruise Show at Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Roberts and Lourd did not match for the occasion, but wore camel brown and black sequins for the evening, respectively.

The pair both donned larger-than-life looks, with Lourd opting for a draped off-the-shoulder Zac Posen gown with puffy sleeves. Roberts amped up the drama in a bold pink tulle Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown with a full tiered skirt. Both women, however, accessorized their hair — Lourd with a silver, diamond-encrusted halo crown and Roberts with flowers.

Lourd's new film Adulthood is in theaters now.
