Tom Holland spills a not-so-glamorous side of playing the iconic character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The 29-year-old star returns as Peter Parker in the sixth phase of the MCU, bringing the beloved figure back to the big screen for another highly anticipated adventure.
Ahead of the movie's official release, the British actor revealed the surprising truth about slipping into the iconic costume.
As Holland headlines the new campaign for Prada Paradigme, he admitted that he is "a little bit fragrance-shy" and doesn't usually wear scented products in real life, but it's different when he is in front of the camera.
This prompted Esquire's Josh Rosenberg to wonder if "it gets a little musty in the Spider-Man suit" and if the Hollywood star would reach for a "fragrance to cover it up."
The Marvel star was quick to confess, saying, "Yeah, it definitely does."
He went on to add that the team switches it out regularly: "I probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon."

The MCU began filming the fourth installment of the superhero series in Glasgow, Scotland, starting production in August.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Holland conveyed his excitement about his first day on set.
"I feel good, man. It's day one, my fourth ever day one on Spider-Man," he said in the clip shared by Sony Pictures Entertainment. "You know, it's funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow. It's also the first time we have ever had fans on set for day one, so it's really exciting to share this with them."
Teasing viewers with what to expect, he mentioned being joined by "some familiar faces," adding, "I'm just gonna do my best, hopefully get it right. No pressure."
It can be recalled that during the filming of Spider-Man: No Way Home, production was confined entirely to soundstages due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With his upcoming movie, returning to on-location shooting is a thrilling experience for the actor.
The upcoming Spider-Man installment is directed by Shang-Chi and theLegend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.
Holland is joined by Zendaya, who returns as MJ, along with Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink and Primetime Emmy winner Liza Colón-Zayas.
Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day is reportedly scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
