David Harbour is no longer slated to attend a Stranger Things event amid reports of erratic behavior
The actor was set to appear at the Paley Museum in New York City for a final season celebration on Thursday, Dec. 15
His expected absence follows a report that Harbour took a man's hat in Encinitas, Calif. over the weekend
David Harbourwill not be in attendance at aStranger Thingsfinale event following reports of erratic behavior.
The actor, 50, was slated to attendStranger Things: The Final Season Celebration — an event at the Paley Center in New York City on Thursday, Dec. 18 — but is no longer listed as an expected attendee on the red carpet. He is also not listed for the screening and conversation on the venue'swebsite.
Another series star who will not be in attendance includesMillie Bobby Brown, who is sitting outfollowing a recent injury.Finn Wolfhard,Gaten Matarazzo,Noah Schnapp,Caleb McLaughlinandMaya Hawkeare cast members set to attend.
The expected absence follows a Wednesday, Dec. 17 report fromTMZabout the actor apparently taking a man's hat at a Encinitas, Calif. gastropub and leaving with it over the weekend.

According to TMZ, which cites footage of the incident, Harbour could be seen entering a gastropub on Saturday, Dec. 13 and exiting a short time after with a hat in his hand, encouraging someone to "f------ get me." The patron then followed Harbour, asked "what the f—- did I do to you" and eventually retrieved his hat and returned to the bar, per TMZ, which reports that the incident did not become physical.
Harbour was also spotted at a Barnes & Noble in Escondido, Calif., on Saturday, according toSan Diegoville.
Also on Saturday, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office issued anews release, stating that an "adult male who was experiencing a mental health crisis" at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group in Santee, Calif. "There were no injuries to patients, staff or deputies."
The man was taken into custody and was evaluated by a Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT) clinician, and then placed on a 72-hour hold pursuant to 5150 Welfare & Institutions, and will be provided with mental health treatment. Citing privacy laws, the SDCSO shared that it "cannot provide any further information about the individual's identity or circumstances surrounding the incident" when reached for comment by PEOPLE.
PEOPLE reached out to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office for comment.
The reports of Harbour's behavior come weeks afterthe Daily Mailreported in early November that an unnamed source alleged that Millie Bobby Brownfiled a bullying and harassment complaint against Harbourbefore production began on season 5 ofStranger Things. There was an alleged months-long investigation about the complaint, and Brown was accompanied by a representative on set while filming, according to the outlet.
The harassment complaint reports also followed the release of his ex-wifeLily Allen'slatest albumWest End Girl, which alludes to theirsplit. Multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE in February thatHarbour and Allen separatedafter four years of marriage. The pair were first linked in 2019 andmarried in a Las Vegas ceremony in September 2020.

Harbour has previously been candid about his experience with bipolar disorder. In a 2018interviewon Marc Maron's podcast, the actor said that he was committed to a "mental asylum" following a manic episode at age 25.
"Here's the interesting thing, which I've actually never truly spoken about publicly," he said. "I actually was in this Catholicism thing … and I was sober for like a year and a half, I was 25, and I actually did have a manic episode and I was diagnosed as bipolar."
