Frankie Munizis reuniting with his dysfunctional sitcom family, and there's more chaos than ever.

The actor reprises his role as Malcom Wilkerson in theMalcolm in the Middlerevival debuting April 10 on Hulu, and PEOPLE has a first look.

TitledMalcom in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, the revival show sees the return ofBryan Cranstonas Hal, Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Chris Kennedy Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese and Emy Coligado as Piama.

New additions to the cast include Keeley Karsten as Malcolm's daughter Leah, Vaughan Murrae as Malcolm's youngest sibling Kelly, Kiana Madeira as Malcolm's girlfriend Tristan, and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark as Dewey. (Former actorErik Per Sullivan previously played Deweyon the original series.)

A synopsis for the limited, four-episode series teases an antics-filled anniversary party for Malcolm's parents: "After shielding himself and his daughter from his family for over a decade, Malcolm is dragged back into their orbit when Hal and Lois demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party."

Malcolm in the Middleran for seven seasons on Fox from 2000 to 2006.

Muniz, 40,recently told PEOPLE what it was like to revisitMalcom in the Middlefor the revival series, calling this experience "probably one of the best times I've ever had on a set."

"When I was doingMalcolm20 years ago, I was a kid. I was like 13 to 20 when I was on the show, and I just kind of showed up and was excited to be there and said the words that were on the paper and it worked," he recalled.

"As an adult, you tend to overthink things ... and you put more pressure on yourself as well," he continued. "So I didn't know what it was gonna be like — if it was going to be easy to be Malcolm, if it was gonna be awkward back with the cast. And not to sound, like, cliché, but it was as if not a single day went by. All of us — every single person — instantly fell back into their characters with, I'm talking the first table read."

The longtime star said this was the "first time in my entire life that, when I was done filming the reboot, I was happy to call myself an actor."

"I've always been like, 'Oh yeah, I act but I also do these other things too,'" Muniz added. "It was just really fun and a really cool experience, so I'm hoping that everyone loves it for sure."
