This is the first child for Griffin, who on Monday's episode of "The View" joked thatBad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime showperformance was so good, she thought it might cause her to go into labor.
"It was just an excellent performance, start to finish," she said in a segment covering the halftime show. "I only even knew the song he ended with, and I was like, 'I'm following this, I love this, people are dancing, baby might come out, we're good.'"
On Tuesday's episode of "The View," Goldberg announced that Griffin was in labor and jokingly suggested her comment from the previous day was prophetic.
"I don't know if you saw the show yesterday, but it turned out, Alyssa was right about Bad Bunny's halftime show putting her into labor," Goldberg quipped. "It put her into labor! She's at the hospital right now!"

In an interview withPeople magazine at the time, Griffin opened up about her previous infertility struggles. She said that she and her husband, who have been married since 2021, were ready to have a child a year into their marriage and tried for two years, but her endometriosis diagnosis "added to the complications" and made it more difficult to get pregnant.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, endometriosis is a condition where tissue that's similar to the lining of the uterus grows elsewhere on the body.
"Both Justin and I just feel so grateful that we were in the position that we were even able to do that many rounds of IVF," Griffin told People. "I consider it a miracle of science and just such a wonderful thing that we've gotten to where we are now."
Griffin has served as a cohost of "The View" since 2022. She previously served as White House director of strategic communications during PresidentDonald Trump's first term before later becoming a critic of Trump, saying in 2023that a "second Trump term could mean the end of American democracy as we know it."
