Al Nassr was scheduled to face Al Wasl in the AFC Champions League Two quarterfinal first leg on Wednesday, March 4, but the match was postponed along with several others amid conflict across the Middle East.
The U.S. and Israel began striking Iran on Saturday, Feb. 28 in a campaign thatkilled the nation's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and dozens of top officials.
Iran has responded with attacks across the region including in Dubai, which was scheduled to host the match between Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr and UAE Pro League side Al Wasl.
In astatementreleased on Saturday Feb. 28, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirmed that matches in both the AFC Champions League Elite and AFC Champions League Two had been postponed.

"The AFC will continue to closely monitor this rapidly evolving situation and remains resolute in ensuring the safety and security of all players, teams, officials, and fans," the AFC said.
The postponed matches were in the West Region of the AFC. Games in the East Region, which includes Australia, South Korea and Malaysia, will go ahead as planned.
Al Nassr defeated Arkadag by a 2-0 aggregate scoreline in the round of 16. The winner of the tie between Al Nassr and Al Wasl will face either Qatari side Al Ahli or Jordanian club Al Hussein in the semifinal.
