The former couple finalized their divorce in November and continue to prioritize family time together

Tori Spelling is spending some quality time with her daughter.

The 90210 alum, 53, shared an Instagram snap with her daughter, Stella, 18, as they posed for a photo stop at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. The mother-daughter duo wore all-black outfits as they enjoyed the spooky-season festivities.

“October looks good on us. 🖤 #halloweenhorrornights @stella_mcdermott08,” she captioned the photos.

Just a year after tying the knot in 2006, Spelling and her ex-husband Dean McDermott, who first became a dad with the birth of his son Jack from his previous marriage to Mary Jo Eustace, welcomed their first baby, Liam.

In 2008, their first daughter, Stella, joined the family. They welcomed their second daughter, Hattie, in 2011 and their second son, Finn, in 2012. Their youngest child, Beau, arrived in early 2017 and helped the pair “start over” and look at their marriage from a new perspective.

The former couple officially confirmed their split in June 2023. McDermott announced the news in a now-deleted post on Instagram.

While speaking to PEOPLE at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Los Angeles back in December, Spelling said she’s “so grateful” for her relationship with the Due South actor, 59, since their divorce was finalized in November, especially when it comes to raising their five children.

“I watched families go through horror stories with the parents, and at the end of the day, you created beings because you had so much love between you,” Spelling explained. “We love and care about each other so much, and I was shocked just because I always read horror stories and everyone predicted it to be so messy, the divorce, and it was super easy and loving.”

She added, “We do family dinners, we do everything together, so it’s really good for the kids.”

In November 2025, Spelling said on her misSPELLING podcast that she felt lucky to walk away from her divorce with what she refers to as a “clean slate.”

“Dean and I came out of this divorce with a clean slate. Neither of us asked each other for anything,” said Spelling. “We walked away as two complete parties that are just there to support, love, raise and set a great example of how families can divorce, uncouple and lead by example and still be there for their family.”

“Our kids are most important. And it makes me sad to think that so many marriages are not in a good place. And it’s sad to think that the human that you started this beautiful, fairy tale-esque dream, because that’s every young person’s dream is a fairy tale,” said Spelling. “And to be lead in your own rom com and to create such beautiful memories to raise families together. And then one day, it’s done. And people walk away and they hate each other.”

“They can’t see each other. You know, it’s just the kids go back and forth and it makes me sad. And I feel beyond blessed that I have the opposite of that,” she added.
