CHICAGO (AP) — Angel Reese didn't play Wednesday in the Chicago Sky's final game before the All-Star break because of a leg injury.

The All-Star forward sat on the bench as the Sky hosted the Atlanta Dream. She is set to make her second All-Star Game appearance this weekend in Indianapolis.

Fellow second-year All-Star Caitlin Clark's availability for the game in her home arena could be in jeopardy as well after she sustained a groin injury Tuesday night in a victory over the Connecticut Sun in Boston.

Reese had 22 points and 10 rebounds Monday for her ninth straight double-double in Chicago's 91-78 loss to Minnesota. She leads the WNBA with 12.6 rebounds per game.

Bradley Beal's time with the Phoenix Suns is over.

Beal reached a buyout with the Suns on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Shams Charania, ending his two-season run with the franchise. Beal is now expected to sign a two-year, $11 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

BREAKING: Three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal has agreed to a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns and plans to join the Los Angeles Clippers on a two-year, $11 million deal with a player option after clearing waivers, Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports told ESPN. pic.twitter.com/gxZB0ObSms

— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) July 16, 2025

Beal's time with the Suns did not go as planned. He landed with the franchise in 2023 after spending the first 11 seasons of his career with the Washington Wizards. But, despite playing alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, the Suns largely struggled to compete in the Western Conference. Durant has since been traded to the Houston Rockets while Phoenix starts to rebuild.

Beal was moved out of the starting lineup last season, too, while he was linked to trade rumors with Jimmy Butler amid his tumultuous exit with the Miami Heat. It marked the first time that Beal had been placed in a reserve role in just shy of a decade. Beal had a no-trade clause in the five-year, $251 million deal he first signed with the Wizards, though, which limited the Suns' options ahead of the deadline last season. Butler eventually went to the Golden State Warriors.

Beal was still owed nearly $111 million on his contract before the buyout. He was earning more than $50 million a season.

Beal averaged 17 points last season, which is his worst output since his rookie campaign. He also averaged 3.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting just shy of 50% from the field. The Suns went just 36-46 last season and missed the playoffs. They parted ways with head coach Mike Budenholzer and have since hired Jordan Ott to replace him. Ott is the franchise's fourth head coach in four seasons.

Even though Beal's time with the Suns didn't go as planned, and there were plenty of rough stretches with the Wizards, the 32-year-old is now getting a fresh start with what will be the third team of his career.

After a hectic first half of the year, second quarter results from some of the country's biggest banks showed Tuesday that the US consumer largely managed to hold steady as market volatility and an uncertain wave of tariff-related sticker shock rippled through American households.

JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Citigroup (C), and Wells Fargo (WFC), three of the country's four largest banks, all reported results early Tuesday that showed increases in their consumer banking divisions' revenue from higher loan balances on their customers' cards.

But even with customers holding more debt on their credit cards, the rate of 90-day-plus delinquencies — or missed payments — was roughly flat year over year across all three banks.

"The consumer basically seems to be fine," JPMorgan Chase CFO Jeremy Barnum said on the company's earnings call on Tuesday.

Net charge-offs, or the amount of loans that a bank writes off as uncollectible, were up by only 1% across the consumer division of JPMorgan and roughly flat at Citi. Wells Fargo customers notched the best performance out of the three, seeing a drop of 10% in written-off loans.

Citi traded up more than 3% following its earnings report, while JPMorgan lost 0.4%. Wells Fargo lost more than 5% after the bank missed analyst estimates and lowered its full-year guidance for net interest income.

Some of the resiliency reflected in these results may be skewed by income levels across consumer banking customers. Just last summer, leadership of all three banks warned that the financial situations of their lower-income customers were increasingly stressed, which Barnum acknowledged on JPMorgan's call.

"If you look at indicators of stress, not surprisingly, you see a little bit more stress in the lower income bands and you're seeing the higher income bands," Barnum said. "But that's always true."

"As we've said before, fundamentally, while there are nuances around the edges, consumer credit is primarily about labor markets," Barnum added. "And in a world with [a] 4.1% unemployment rate, it's just going to be hard, especially in our portfolio to see a lot of weakness."

"As we look ahead, what we see regarding the health of our clients and customers has not changed," Wells Fargo CEO Charles Scharf said on the bank's Tuesday earnings call. "Consumers and businesses remain strong as unemployment remains low and inflation remains in check."

Inflation data out Tuesday morning showed consumer prices rose at a faster rate in June, though increases remain more moderate than what consumers faced in the years after the pandemic.

And with stocks near record highs, banks are leaning into the higher-end of their consumer base and broadening premium offerings.

In June, JPMorgan announced that consumers of the bank's premier travel card, the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, would begin paying an increased yearly fee of $795 — a nearly 45% increase from the previous $550 fee — amid an overhaul of the card's benefits offerings.

Citi announced during its Q2 earnings call on Tuesday that the bank would be launching its own "Strata Elite" premium credit card targeted toward the same affluent consumers JPMorgan is chasing with Sapphire Reserve. Details around annual fees and benefits were not clarified in the presentation.

JPMorgan is also working on opening 14 new offices in locations such as Palm Beach, Florida, and Madison Avenue in New York City for customers with balances of $750,000 and up, according to reporting by Business Insider.

The Street will get another look at the state of consumer finances on Wednesday, when Bank of America (BAC), Goldman Sachs (GS), and PNC Financial Services Group (PNC) all open their books.

Stevie Wonder is seen in the audience at Reel To Reel: Ed Sullivan at GRAMMY Museum L.A. Live on July 15, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

Multi-Grammy award-winning artist Stevie Wonder responded to the long-standing, baseless rumor about his eyesight.

The "Isn't She Lovely" singer addressed the ongoing gossip about his ability to see during a July 9 appearance at Blackweir, a music concert series in Cardiff, Wales.

"You know the truth. The truth is, shortly after my birth, I became blind," Wonder told the audience. "Now, that was a blessing because it allowed me to see the world in the vision of truth, of sight."

He continued, "See people in the spirit of them, not how they look, not what color they are, but what color is their spirit."

According to a Welsh news outlet, the music legend performed his hits "Living For the City" and "I Just Called to Say I Love You."

Speculation about Stevie Wonder's eyesight has been the center of jokes and conspiracy theories in pop culture for decades.

For instance, the popular podcast "Drink Champs," hosted by rapper N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, shared a compilation of celebrities sharing their "Steve Wonder Can See Stories."

"On everything I love, Stevie Wonder does FaceTime me," Snopp Dogg joked, explaining how the singer once called him while he was getting his hair done. The "Gin and Juice" rapper claimed when he answered, Wonder said, "I've been looking for you."

Wonder has previously joined in on the jokes too, but has made it clear throughout his career that being blind has not been a setback in his life.

"I never thought of being blind as a disadvantage, and I never thought of being Black as a disadvantage," Wonder said in a 2012 profile in The Guardian. "I am what I am. I love me! And I don't mean that egotistically – I love that God has allowed me to take whatever it was that I had and to make something out of it."

Actor Emma Watson has been barred from driving for six months after she was caught speeding last year.

Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" series, drove her blue Audi 38mph in a 30mph zone in Oxford, England, on July 31 of last year.

The 35-year-old was made to pay a total of £1,044, or roughly $1,400, at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Watson, who is earning a degree in creative writing from the University of Oxford, already had nine points on her license.

She did not attend her short court hearing on Wednesday,

Watson's former "Harry Potter" co-star, Zoe Wanamaker — who played Hogwarts professor Madam Hooch — was similarly caught speeding last year in West Berkshire, England, roughly 60 miles west of London.

The 76-year-old drove her blue Volvo at 46 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to the court.

Hooch was also fined £1,044 and banned from driving for six months, and did not attend her hearing.

Representatives for the actors did not immediately return requests for comment.

He then noted that he "shouldn't say that word," to which Keanu agreed, "no, you shouldn't"

The exchange prompted some criticism online with one person asking, "When did it become OK [to] throw that word around again?"

Big Brother contestant Isaiah "Zae" Frederich is facing criticism online after using an ableist slur during the live feed.

The incident reportedly happened late at night while Zae was playing chess with fellow contestant Keanu Soto, according to TMZ. After losing a few pieces on the board, he blurted out the slur.

"Oh s---. I'm a f------ re----," Zae said, before adding, "D—, I shouldn't say that word."

"No, you shouldn't," Keanu responded, in a video captured by the outlet.

"That's one of the ones I was working on not saying," Zae later noted. The pair then laughed it off before Keanu told him, per TMZ, "I think you're good … you're lucky it's late."

However, several people responded to the Big Brother incident on X, with one person writing, "When did it become OK [to] throw that word around again? It's everywhere again." Another user joked, "Now CBS gonna have to address it."

Another wrote on X: "Well, that escalated quickly. Who knew reality TV could go off the rails so spectacularly? Classic 'Big Brother' drama."

The slur in question is a hurtful term, which was originally introduced to "define people with intellectual disabilities," but in the decades since, has "become an insult used all too commonly in everyday language," according to the Special Olympics.

"Those who use the R-word often do so with little regard for the pain it causes people with intellectual disabilities—and the exclusion it perpetuates in our society," Special Olympics continued.

Big Brother previously axed contestant Luke Valentine after he used a racist slur on a Paramount+ live feed, which went viral and led to fans and viewers calling for his removal on social media.

CBS and Big Brother's producers confirmed his removal from the series following the incident in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.

"Luke violated the Big Brother code of conduct, and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur. He has been removed from the house," their statement read.

Host Julie Chen Moonves also discussed his removal on the show, saying, "It was an emotional 24 hours in the Big Brother house as the houseguests learned that one of their own broke the Big Brother Code of Conduct and was removed from the game."

CBS did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on the incident.
