After a record-winning Emmy's sweep, *Schitt's Creek* still had one big to-do on its checklist: drop the final season on Netflix, where many of the show's fans had first discovered the Pop TV/CBC comedy.

That treat came a bit early, but for everyone watching the sixth season for the first (or tenth) time, we have an extra reward for you: co-creator and star Dan Levy (who plays David) returned to *EW's BINGE* podcast for a special bonus episode. Levy breaks down the biggest controversies of the season, shares a poignant memory from Emmy's night about co-star Annie Murphy (Alexis), reveals that an alternate ending of the series was shot, and speculates what David and Patrick (played by Noah Reid) would dress up as for Halloween.

Schitts Creek

We also revisit some of our favorite interviews from the *EW On Set* podcast, which had weekly companion episodes for every week of season six's original airing, including a never-before-heard riff by Catherine O'Hara (Moira) about a viral video she was obsessed with, extended and uncut interviews with Murphy and Dustin Milligan (Ted) about their characters' long-distance struggle, and Eugene Levy (Johnny) and special guest star Victor Garber (who steps in for one episode as Moira's former soap opera nemesis) talk about first meeting during a 1972 production of *Godspell* in Toronto. Plus, we assemble all of our favorite celebrity name drops from throughout the season, and the best Moira-isms.

Listen to the full episode below or at Apple Podcasts or Spotify, and be sure to subscribe to our BINGE feed for more great deep dives of your favorite TV shows and movies.

This is The Takeaway from today's Morning Brief, which you can sign up to receive in your inbox every morning along with:

What we're watching

What we're reading

Economic data releases and earnings

Even for professional observers, it was hard to keep track of Nvidia's (NVDA) flurry of announcements at its tech conference this week in Washington, D.C.

In the weeks leading up to Nvidia's event, OpenAI (OPAI.PVT) took the cake as the AI dealmaking champ, unveiling deals with multiple partners and triggering a stock bump for everyone involved. But Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, not to be outdone, unleashed his own torrent of market-moving news at the company's GTC event.

And amid a week already filled with a Fed meeting and blockbuster earnings from Big Tech, heads were left spinning by the deal offensive. Doubtless, that was the point.

Nvidia revealed it is working with the US Department of Energy to build seven new supercomputers, including one that will use 10,000 Blackwell GPUs.

Nvidia is partnering with Uber (UBER) to build a fleet of self-driving cars, targeting about 100,000 autonomous vehicles, with mass production starting in 2027.

Nvidia is also partnering with Stellantis (STLA) and Foxconn to explore a robotaxi joint venture.

Nvidia has yet more car collaborations with Lucid and Mercedes-Benz to equip vehicles capable of Level 4 self-driving.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang speaks on how AI infrastructure and AI factories that generate intelligence at scale are powering a new industrial revolution, at the Washington Convention Center on Oct. 28 in Washington, D.C. (AP Photo/Manuel Balce Ceneta) ()

Major deals with the US government and the auto industry would, by themselves, generate investor interest and force analysts' heads to turn. But wait, there's more.

Nvidia also said it is working with Nokia (NOK) to help develop next-generation 6G cellular technology. Shares of the telecommunications company surged more than 22% after news of the deal broke, which also gives Nvidia a roughly 3% stake in Nokia.

There's still more. And why not spread the technological love to other sectors? AI is for everyone.

Drugmaker Eli Lilly (LLY) is building an AI supercomputer running on more than 1,000 Blackwell Ultra GPUs. The partnership will help reduce drug discovery times and "enable breakthroughs in genomics, personalized medicine, and molecular design at industrial scale," Nvidia said.

If you think that seems like a lot of deals, yes, it's a lot of deals.

Nvidia's live blog of the event resembled a media organization's minute-by-minute news coverage, sustaining its own buzz. The flood-the-zone theatrics even inspired scammers to riff off the attention. Instead of a jewelry heist at the Louvre museum, a swindler generated an AI-generated Huang deepfake peddling a cryptocurrency through a YouTube livestream. At one point, more users were tuning in to the fake stream than to Nvidia's official broadcast.

The swirl of news, coupled with comments from President Trump ahead of a planned meeting with Huang, added to optimism about the company's global prospects. Nvidia earlier this week became the first company to close above a market cap of $5 trillion.

The intense bout of dealmaking is part of a broader strategy to entrench Nvidia's products in the tech ecosystem and to provide the funding and hardware to keep other businesses thriving in the AI space. As Bloomberg reported earlier this week, the chipmaker has backed 59 startups as of mid-October, using the cash it has generated from dominating the advanced chip market to prop up a nascent industry and tie it to Nvidia's success.

When you already have the best chips and the best customers, the next thing to do is to find more of them.

It's no secret that Jeff Bezos, who founded Amazon in 1994, is one of the richest men in the world and a very active member of the billion-dollar oligarch club. In fact, he tends to hover in the top five wealthiest humans on the planet, after Elon Musk and in the company of Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Larry Ellison and Warren Buffett.

Consider This: If Mark Zuckerberg's Wealth Were Evenly Distributed Across America, How Much Money Would Every Person Get?

Read Next: 6 Subtly Genius Moves All Wealthy People Make With Their Money

But what if one day, Bezos decided to dismantle his empire and liquidate his assets to give everyone in the United States an equal share? GOBankingRates is checking the math to see how much money every American would have if every citizen got a piece of Bezos' wealth.

Trending Now: Suze Orman's Secret to a Wealthy Retirement--Have You Made This Money Move?

The Number of People in the US

Based on the U.S. Census Bureau's tracking and data, the total American population is at 340.1 million as of October 2025. The numbers show that about one American is born every 9 seconds while another one dies about every eleven seconds, so the rate of growth and loss are fairly in step with one another.

Theoretically, each of these people would receive an equal share of Bezos' fortune in a perfect world under ideal circumstances. In the real world, that could prove to be a Herculean task; however, for the sake of experimentation, everyone accounted for in the population will receive the same amount of Bezos' wealth at the same time on the same day.

Trending Now: I Asked ChatGPT What Would Happen If Billionaires Paid Taxes at the Same Rate as the Middle Class

The Amount of Money

Currently, Bezos is ranked the fourth richest person in the world with a net worth estimated around $234 billion. He is also considered to be one of the few people to be included in the $100 Billion Club.

Using that figure and dividing it by the population of America, each person in the country would receive a sum in the range of $688. While that might not be a lot of money to some in the current economy, it would act similarly to a stimulus check or perhaps a holiday bonus.

What It Takes To Earn Bezos' Wealth

Bezos started from fairly humble beginnings and is now one of the richest people in the world. It might sound impossible to ever reach a salary that could cultivate wealth like Bezos' in the long term, but it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility if you build for the future and not just for today.

"Bezos doesn't make decisions based on what looks good this quarter; he's thinking in five, 10, sometimes even 20-year timelines," said Jamie Wall, a personal finance strategist at Gamblizard. "Amazon didn't turn a profit until 2003, nearly a decade after it launched and seven years after going public."

"For regular people, this means not basing every financial or career decision on short-term wins," Wall concluded. "Gaining wealth isn't a sprint, it's a marathon."

J. Arky contributed to the reporting for this article.

Barely half a day after the Dolphins' embarrassing 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Miami dropped a bombshell of its own: general manager Chris Grier was out. Owner Stephen Ross called it a mutual decision, but as you'd expect, this stirred up plenty of controversy. And now, former NFL GM Ran Carthon evaluated the smartness (or lack of) of this move.

Appearing on CBS, Carthon practically scoffed at the timing of the move. "How much are things gonna change right now? How are you going to improve this Dolphins roster at this point?" he said.

"We're basically in November. You're not gonna change in terms of trading people that are gonna come in and improve your roster. So, I don't understand what the firing of a GM does for you in the middle of the season because the season has been what it's going to be," the former Titans GM added.

He's got a point. Firing a general manager in the middle of a season is peculiar, especially before the head coach takes the fall. Grier wasn't some short-term figurehead, either. He climbed the Dolphins' front-office ladder from scout to college scouting director to GM, logging 25 years in the building.

Grier's record as GM was average at best: 77–80, three playoff appearances, zero postseason wins. But Ross's patience apparently snapped after this 2–7 start. Everyone around the league figured if heads were going to roll, head coach Mike McDaniel's would be first. The offense looks flat, the team feels lifeless, and no front-office shuffle fixes that in the middle of a season.

It's hard to find any upside in firing your general manager just days before the trade deadline. Unless interim GM Champ Kelly pulls off some sort of miracle before November 4th, this feels like change for the sake of optics. And Carthon wasn't the only one calling it out.

Stephen A. Smith lashes out at Dolphins' decision

Stephen A. Smith echoed Ran Carthon's sentiment….maybe in a more dramatic fashion. "This is BS. That's the first firing, really? That's what we're doing? The personnel that they have on their squad, although we were not happy with it, we didn't walk into the season thinking they're going to be trash. We said they got some potential."

"We said they got some potential. It was about Tua, it was about Mike McDaniels. All I know is this: I better be hearing Mike McDaniels' name today. It better not just be Chris Grier. When you don't get the job done, you don't get the damn job done, period. Don't tell me it's just him. I'm waiting for more news," Smith said, almost screaming.

Feb 16, 2024; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Team Stephen A coach Stephen A. Smith looks on against Team Shannon during the All Star Celebrity Game at Lucas Oil Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Underneath the theatrics, Smith's logic tracks. Nobody thought Miami's roster was among the league's worst. They had enough weapons to at least stay competitive. If they've fallen apart this badly, that's on coaching and effort from the players.

Now, the question becomes: Does Mike McDaniel survive this? History says he probably won't. Usually, it's the coach who gets canned first and the GM soon after, not the other way around. Last season, the Raiders axed head coach Antonio Pierce and soon followed with GM Tom Telesco. The Jets did the same with Joe Douglas after Robert Saleh was gone. Next few days are imperative.

Helen Mirren is officially *Fast & Furious* royalty.

After openly campaigning for a role in the action franchise, the Oscar-winning *The Queen* actress debuted in 2017's *The Fate of the Furious* as, fittingly, Queenie Shaw, the charming criminal mother of Deckard (Jason Statham), Owen (Luke Evans), and Hattie (Vanessa Kirby). She returned in the 2019 spin-off *Hobbs & Shaw*, but through two outings, Mirren, 75, never got a chance to do the one thing she wanted more than anything else: drive a car.

Good news arrived in January, when *Fast* star and producer Vin Diesel told EW that *F9* would finally feature Mirren getting the behind the wheel. "Without giving away any spoilers… You know what, I'm going to give you a spoiler," he said. "Yes, she gets to drive. It's so awesome. She gets to drive, and she gets to drive sleek."

F9, Fast 9

Helen Mirren and Vin Diesel in 'F9'. Universal Pictures

Ahead of Mirren's scene-stealing turn in *F9* (in theaters Friday), she strapped into the passenger seat of *EW's BINGE: The Fast Saga* to talk about her dream coming true, her unexplainable chemistry with Diesel, and possible casting for Papa Shaw.

**: I'm thrilled to talk to another *Fast & Furious* fan, especially since you basically willed yourself into these movies. So what is it that you love about *Fast*?**

**HELEN MIRREN:** Oh, well, it's the driving the cars, the spectacle of the whole thing. With this franchise, you know what you're going to get and you know it's going to be spectacular and exciting and fun. So I think especially for us all coming out of COVID and the way we've been enclosed and isolated and lonely and in a very small environment, to see this wonderful, expansive explosion of action is going to be such, such fun for the audiences. And I'm so glad that they — and it must have been a very difficult decision to make because we finished the film just before COVID started — decided to hold this film back and wait for the moment when people finally could get into the theater to watch it. So it's fantastic that people can now go and just have a great night in the theater. I think people are really going to enjoy it.

**You were pretty vocal about your hope to join the *Fast* saga, so once you got the call, how much input did you have on the development of Queenie?**

Actually, quite a lot. It could have gone in any direction. I mean, obviously she was the mother of Jason Statham's character, so there is an East End connection there. But immediately I knew how I wanted her to be this sort of tough matriarchal, powerful woman who had to make her own way in life, and has always done it slightly on the dodgy side. As we say in England, ducking and diving, but with great strength and great character and intelligence.

**Before you came aboard, did you have a favorite movie from the series?**

Not really. I wasn't honestly that familiar in a sense with the series. I wasn't an aficionado in knowing all the characters and the stories. I saw [*The Fast and the Furious*], and I really, really enjoyed it. But I had this incredible urge to drive a car fast in a movie. It was basically that, honestly, and of course my first two times out I wasn't being in a car at all; I was in an ambulance in one and in jail in the other. And so the creators of the series very, very kindly finally put me behind the wheel, where I've been longing to be.

**Ahead of *F9*, did you have to campaign at all for that?**

Oh, I didn't campaign. I whined, I moaned, I cried, I sniffled. I was annoying.

**When it finally came time for you to get behind the wheel in *F9*, you're not only driving, but you've got Vin riding shotgun, and he's *the* movie car guy.**

I know, I couldn't believe it.

**So what was that like? You did have the benefit of being on your home streets of London.**

I have to say, it was slightly intimidating. Although Vin is so generous and kind, but it was a little bit intimidating because those guys are so experienced at what they do. They know it, and it's all a bit new to me, the technicality of it. Not the driving part, but the filming of the driving. But you're in very safe and loving hands when you're in a *Fast & Furious*. It was just great to be in a very small space with Vin Diesel for quite a long time. I just loved every minute. It was great, hearing that beautiful, soft brown velvet voice really, really close, because we were squished together. Oh, I just so love his voice. He's got the best voice ever.

**There seems to be a bit of flirtatious energy between the two of you in the film. Is that something you two were actively playing up, or is that just natural chemistry?**

That's completely natural chemistry. It was there right from the very beginning of my first meeting with Vin. And I just adored him immediately, and he's always been so kind and lovely to me. So it was there right from the beginning, and it is very weird. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever on any level, but that's the weird thing about chemistry, isn't it? There's never an explanation for it. It's just one of those things that happens.

**Speaking of Vin, we previously asked him who his dream next casting was for *Fast* [watch the interview above], and he brought up Michael Caine and said he had an idea for something with you and Michael together. Has he run this by you, or are we breaking this news?**

No, but what a great idea. He's absolutely right, that would be absolutely genius. My mum was a very East End working-class woman, and Michael absolutely comes from that world as well. And I have worked with Michael before, actually quite a long time ago. We were in the same film together and he played my husband who passed away during the film.

**I think right there we might have it. We haven't met Papa Shaw yet, so maybe you and Michael bring back that husband-wife dynamic!**

No, absolutely. We haven't seen Papa Shaw — and he's going to be terrifying.

**I can only imagine. Through three times out as Queenie, we've essentially seen you work with just Vin and Jason, and Vanessa Kirby popped up for that quick prison bit at the end of *Hobbs & Shaw*…**

The great Vanessa. I'd love to work with her again. She's such a talent and lovely girl.

**And *F9* is full of so many badass women. So is that the next thing we need to campaign for, to get you in scenes with Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, and Jordana Brewster?**

Wouldn't that be good? That's the great thing about *Fast & Furious*. Of course it's about cars, and boys love cars, for sure. Also, girls love cars! I love cars. So girls do love cars, but I think the strength of the female characters for me is another great reason to be in the franchise, because I love film franchises that have really authentic, good, strong female roles. The next generation of girls need to see that — and they are beginning to.

**Now that you've gotten to drive, are there other things that you would love to do as Queenie?**

I love stunts. And I do as many as my stunts that I physically can. I love flying, for example, when they haul you up on a rope and you're flying. It's fantastic. So yeah, something to do with flying would be great, where I sort of come out of a window or something and fly through the air.

**We see the zip-lining in *F9* with John Cena's character.**

Zip-lining, wouldn't that be fantastic?! But I also quite like Queenie just being really down to earth and a real character who's just there, and tough and manipulative.

**You've managed to be a bit of the connective tissue between the main *Fast* series and the spin-off *Hobbs & Shaw*. Have you had any conversations about what's next?**

No, I just put myself in their hands. If they want me, I'm absolutely standing there first in line. But if the stories go a different way, that's understandable. Working with Jason, Jason is the most incredibly professional, hardworking actor to work with. He's just so committed, so professional. All of these people, they're great to work with. And Vanessa was wonderful, funny, and a great girl. And the atmosphere on the sets of these movies has always been fantastic. So I'm happy to go in whatever direction they might push me — unless they decide to push me off the end and say goodbye to me. [*Laughs*]

**And that's when you fly! We'll take more of Queenie in whatever fashion.**

I love to hear you calling her Queenie because I gave her that name.

**Wow, really?**

I had an auntie Queenie. One of my mother's sisters was called Queenie, which is a very old East End name. It's nothing to do with the queen, but I thought it was funny to play *the* Queen and then to be called Queenie. We're a very different person from a very different background. So I love the fact my auntie Queenie has become a part of the *Fast & Furious*. She'd be amazed if she knew.
