American speed skater Jordan Stolz sets the record straight on whether or not he eats pizza "every day" during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE
Stolz says his pizza consumption is certainly "frequent" but "it's not every day," despite a 2022 article claiming otherwise
Stolz stars alongside his parents Jane and Dirk and sister Hannah, who will all be supporting him at the Winter Olympics, in a new spot for Hershey's It's Your Happy Place campaign
Jordan Stolz is a big fan of Italian food.
The American speed skater's love of pizza first became known in a 2022Milwaukee Journal Sentinelarticle that said Stolz, 21, "eats pizza every day before training." Stolz, though, is now setting the record straight on his diet.
"It's not every day, but it's frequent," Stolz, speaking to PEOPLE about his new partnership with Hershey's It's Your Happy Place campaign, says. "It's usually pasta or pizza. Yeah, I said that four years ago and it stuck with everybody now, but I do eat it pretty frequently."

And when he gets to Milan, where he'll compete in his second Olympic Games after making his debut in Beijing, Stolz says he's ready to eat.
"In Milan, I think it's going to be good, but the pasta. I'm honestly probably bigger into the pasta," he admits.
When it's time for dessert, Stolz says he's reaching for Hershey's fudge "because my mom uses it for the cheesecake."
The speed skater's mom, Jane Stolz, who appears alongside her son and husband in Hersey'sIt's Your Happy Placecommercial, "makes a very good cheesecake," he says. "I think it's one of the best I've ever had."
Jane and her husband Dirk Stolz, and their daughter Hannah, star with their Olympian son in the spot, and Stolz says the family was thrilled to participate "because Hersey's is about bringing the family together and making everything super personal."
"They really thrive on that and I'm just happy to be one of Hershey's athletes."
Jane, Dirk and Hannah will be in Milan when Jordan competes for Team USA, a change from the COVID-restricted 2022 Winter Games, he tells PEOPLE.
"A lot of their friends too, and some family members, they'll all be there, which will be nice because in Beijing they didn't really get that opportunity."
"I'm really happy that they'll get to enjoy it and that'll make me feel good going into the races that everybody's having a good time," he says.
