Ali WongandBill Haderhave gone their separate ways, PEOPLE can confirm.

Over two years since going public with their relationship in April 2023, theBeefstar, 43, andSaturday Night Livealum, 47, have broken up. Reps for the actors did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's requests for comment.

A source tells PEOPLE that the pair struggled to find time together while navigating busy schedules and family obligations. "It was too difficult to make the relationship work with Ali's upcoming stand up tour and Bill's various film and tv projects this year," the insider explains.

Now, "they're focusing on their work and kids, while continuing to support and root for each other."

Despite the end of their romantic relationship, things remain "very amicable" for Hader and Wong, the source says: "They are very much friends and still in touch."

The news comes after fans speculated about relationship trouble early last year when Wong didn't walk the red carpet with Hader or thank him in her acceptance speech at2025 Golden Globesin January. Wong beat outJamie Foxx,Nikki Glaser,Seth Meyers,Adam SandlerandRamy Youssefto take home thebest performance in stand-up comedy on televisionprize for her Netflix specialSingle Lady.

At the time, a representative for Hader told PEOPLE that the couple was still going strong and Hader missed the event due to a health issue.

Before then, the duo had been photographed together at the premiere of Peacock'sLaidin Dec. 2024. They also attended the 2024Golden Globestogether in January of that year. During the awards ceremony, Wong won for her role inBeefand Hader gave her a kiss before she made her way up to the stage.

PEOPLE confirmed in April 2023 that Hader and Wong, who dated briefly in fall 2022,rekindled their romancefollowing her separation from ex-husbandJustin Hakutaone year earlier. Wong and Hakutafinalized their divorcein May 2024.

In her Netflix specialAli Wong: Single Lady, which was released in October 2024, Wong shared that Hader reached out to her when he found out she was getting a divorce. After getting her number from a mutual friend, she revealed that he texted that he had a crush on her "forever" and asked her to be his girlfriend.

As Wong explained, at one point, he even sent her flowers while she was on a trip to Europe. She explained during the special, "I did fall in love again. Some of you might know who the guy is. And it just so happens to be the man who sent me all of those flowers in Europe."
