The Chicago Bears have been one of the biggest surprise stories of the 2025-26 NFL season, cruising over their preseason win total of 8.5 and earning the NFC North division title and No. 2 seed in the NFC.
Earlier in the season, after animpressive 24-15 victoryover the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday in late November, one bettor placed a large wager on Chicago to win its first Super Bowl since the 1985 season.
After that win, a bettor atBetMGMin Illinois wagered $50,000 on the Bears at 66-1 odds to win Super Bowl LX. The bet would win $3.3 million, and is thelargest reported Super Bowl futures betby total liability at any legal sportsbook in the United States. BetMGM moved Chicago's Super Bowl odds as a result of the wager.
The ticket was hanging by a thread on Saturday night.
After closing as a 1.5-point home underdog against the Green Bay Packers — despite being the No. 2 seed in the NFC — the Bears looked out of sorts in the first half, eventually trailing 21-3 at halftime after Green Bay scored a touchdown on its first three possessions.
The second half was a completely different story, though, as Chicago came out of the locker room and dominated on both sides of the ball, scoring 25 fourth-quarter points en route to a31-27 comeback win. The Bears had in-game odds as long as 14-1 at one point in the second half, and although Caleb Williams was only 24-of-48 passing, he threw for 361 yards and two touchdowns and looked like a different QB than we saw in the first half.
After the stunning win, the Bears currently have 14-1 odds to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM, and will host their next opponent in the divisional round. Those Super Bowl odds are still well behind the Seattle Seahawks (+375), Los Angeles Rams (+400) and Philadelphia Eagles (+750) in the NFC.
