Tom Brady is pulling for this Oscar winner to play him in a biopic: 'He's a special guy'

Tom Bradyis game for a fellow GOAT to play him in a biopic.

The 7-time Super Bowl champion is currently working on a multi-part documentary series in partnership with the new Fanatics Studios. During the studio's launch, Brady was asked to cast a potential biopic about his life.

While the former New England Patriot previously proposed Bostonians likeMatt DamonandMark Wahlberg, this time he entertained a different actor:Leonardo DiCaprio.

"I like Leo, man, he's a special guy," Brady toldAccess Hollywood. "We've got a lot of times to kind of hang out and talk and [he's] such a deep thoughtful guy. He's got a tremendous perspective on a lot of things and we've had a lot of fun together."

When pressed by Access Hollywood if DiCaprio should bet out the other prospects, the retired NFL quarterback said he'd be glad to cast the star if he was up for it.

"We gotta write a good script first," Brady joked.

Now that Brady and DiCaprio have become friends, perhaps the door is open for future collaborations between them. The two werespotted catching upon a yacht at the top of the new year.

While DiCaprio has played many different roles, he rarely plays an athlete. The last, and only, time he laced up for a part was in 1995'sThe Basketball Diaries.

Any new projects will have to wait though, as Leo is now in thefull swingof award season following his performance inOne Battle After Another. While he lost the Golden Globe for Best Actor — Musical or Comedy toTimothée Chalamet, his costarTeyana Taylor snagged the prizefor Best Supporting Actress. The film wasawardedBest Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy at the Globes, inching closer toward itspredicted Best Picture winat the Oscars.
