The demonstrations also come as afederal agent shot and injured two individualsin Portland, Oregon on Jan. 8.The Department of Homeland Security saidone of the individuals is affiliated with the Tren de Aragua gang, while the other is a "suspected" gang member. In Los Angeles, demonstrators and faith leadersgathered on Jan. 8 to rally for Good, with one participant telling the USA TODAY Network she wanted a thorough investigation of what occurred. That same evening, a crowd had gathered in Boyle Heights for another demonstration over Good.
