CM Punk responds after WWE rival leaks real footage of backstage fight | D73VST5 | 2024-04-11 21:08:01
WWE legend CM Punk appears to have addressed Tony Khan's choice to leak footage of his backstage struggle at AEW All In London.
On Wednesday night time's episode of AEW Dynamite, the company aired a video displaying Punk's altercation with Jack Perry – the son of late Riverdale actor Luke Perry – at Wembley Stadium last August.
The incident led to the former world champion being fired, and less than three months later he rejoined WWE in one of many largest wrestling surprises of all time.
In the footage, Punk might be seen shoving Perry, seemingly putting him in a chokehold, and being pulled away by fellow wrestlers.
The choice to air the video appears to have backfired, with fans chanting Punk's identify and lots of wondering what Khan hoped to realize.
After the footage was broadcast, the wrestling legend posted a photo of George W. Bush together with his thumb up, and the slogan: 'Mission completed.'
Before Dynamite, Khan advised Sports activities Illustrated: 'The choice is predicated on placing on the most effective present for AEW, in addition to driving curiosity for Dynamite and our Dynasty pay-per-view on April 21.

It follows Punk's explosive interview on The MMA Hour, by which he addressed his row with Perry for the primary time.
The two wrestlers clashed after Punk informed him to not use actual glass in a wrestling stunt, with Perry later doing simply that at Wembley before mocking Punk.
He advised Ariel Helwani: 'I stroll as much as him, and I'm like, "Jack, why do you insist on doing this dumb internet s**t on TV?" And he's identical to, "Nicely in case you received an issue about it, do one thing about it."
'And I used to be like, "Oh come on man, I'll f***ing kill you. What are we doing?" I assumed I did the responsible factor. I didn't punch anyone
'I simply choked him a bit of bit. I turned to Tony (Khan) and stated, "This place is a f***ing joke man. You're a clown. I give up." '
The confrontation occurred just moments before the veteran stepped out to face Samoa Joe in what ended up being the former's remaining AEW match.
Now, he's again in WWE and embroiled in a excessive profile rivalry with Drew McIntyre, which saw him value the Scottish Warrior the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 40.
