Within the second photograph, which is black and white, the couple appear out of their clown make-up, watching one another lovingly and touching noses by means of the bars of what we'll assume is a jail cell.
The final photograph — also in black and white — footage the duo dancing romantically on a rooftop, with Joker again in his clown makeup and go well with, dipping Quinn, who is sporting a floor-length backless gown. With its surreal fake cityscape backdrop (complete with super-sized moon), the shot seems to nod to the golden age of silent movie within the '20s — although it's also been stated that Phillips and cinematographer Lawrence Sher have used Francis Ford Coppola's 1981 musical One From The Coronary heart, which equally features stylised, surrealist setpieces.
Joker: Folie à Deux trailer
The long-awaited trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux is officially right here. In it, we get our first real take a look at the tone of the sudden movie and Gaga's interpretation of Harley Quinn within it.
"I'm no one. I haven't achieved something with my life like you've got," Gaga's Quinn tells Phoenix's Arthur Fleck — AKA the Joker.
What appears to be in store is a love story of a very twisted variety: Amid the scattered clips of the trailer, which is about to the music "What the World Needs Now Is Love", we see Quinn and Fleck dancing together on a rooftop, on a stage in some kind of bar, and on the now-infamous "Joker stairs" from the first movie. "I'll inform you what's modified," Fleck says at one point. "I'm not alone anymore."
Furthermore, the trailer confirms once once more that the film is a musical of types — with a personality explaining in a voiceover, "We use music to make us entire; to stability the fractures within us".

Is Woman Gaga going to be Harley Quinn?
The revelation that Gaga was on board for the& Joker& sequel was speculated for some time earlier than the singer formally announced her involvement by way of a video uploaded to Instagram on August 4, 2022. While it has all the time been unclear whether Gaga was, in truth, enjoying the position of Harley Quinn, the information was confirmed in March 2023 after viral paparazzi pictures showed her in an undeniably Quinn-esque costume whereas filming in New York.
