A forensic probe has now revealed that the torso belonged to a person more likely to be older than 40.
The examination also discovered that the person had only been deceased for a matter of days.
Cops in Salford at the moment are working to determine the person to allow them to inform and help his loved ones.
Chief Superintendent Tony Creely stated: "This can be a tragic case which is shifting at pace.
