COPS probing human remains found in a London park have arrested a person and a lady on suspicion of murder.
Officers have been referred to as after "attainable human remains" have been discovered on Rowdown Fields in Croydon just after 9am on Tuesday.
Yesterday a 44-year previous man and a 48-year-old lady have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.
Scotland Yard stated a post-mortem examination will start immediately in a bid to determine the remains.
Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe stated:& "I understand the significant concern this discovery may have brought about to local individuals.
"I need to thank the group for their endurance. I can affirm our work at the location is complete."
DI Thorpe added: "We consider that the remains discovered are those of 1 individual.
"Although we are unable to formally determine the sufferer right now, my workforce are working across the clock in order to take action.
"Their enquiries have made vital progress and I will present an extra replace as quickly as attainable.
"We remain in touch with partners and area people members. I am grateful to them for their help."
